The island that gave the world reggae
Jamaica is a Caribbean island nation whose music changed the world — reggae, born in the late 1960s and carried globally by Bob Marley, grew out of ska and rocksteady and remains one of the most influential sounds on Earth. It is also the birthplace of the Rastafari movement, which emerged there in the 1930s.
