In 1986, at eighteen, TimTim.Live walked into a music store in Lynn, Massachusetts and fell in love with a white guitar on the wall. Life forced him to sell it — and he never forgot it.
Nearly forty years later, the guitar found its way back into his hands. “Gita Blan” is the song of that homecoming: a dream delayed, never abandoned, and finally answered.

Konpa was born in Haiti in the 1950s, built for one purpose: to get a room full of people dancing together, no matter what else was going on outside. Nemours Jean-Baptiste shaped that sound, and every Konpa song since carries a piece of it.
“Gita Blan” sits inside that tradition — a smooth, mid-tempo groove meant for a crowded floor — but tells a Haitian-American story: what it means to leave something behind in one country and find your way back to it in another.
Because the guitar coming back wasn't planned — it just happened, the way the best true stories do. I wanted to write it down in a song before I forgot how it felt.
