TimTim.Live is a global platform for independent musicians and the people who listen to them. It exists because being an independent artist is hard in a specific way: the music business is fragmented, being discovered is mostly luck, and the relationship between an artist and the people who love their work usually belongs to somebody else. An artist who lived all of that built this so it would be different — you keep your rights, you set your own price, and the people who find you are yours.
That artist is Pierre Richard Augustin, who releases music here as TimTim.Live Originals. His catalogue was the first on the platform and his story is below — not because the platform is about him, but because it is the reason it works the way it does.
TimTim.Live exists to create joyful Konpa music that connects people, celebrates Haiti, and inspires curiosity about the world. Through songs, stories, and cultural experiences, we're building a living TimTim.Live musical journey — one future generations can keep discovering, performing, and sharing.

The founder's story
Pierre Richard Augustin performs as TimTim.Live, carrying Konpa to world music, Caribbean, African, jazz and cultural festivals. Born in Les Cayes, Haiti, he travelled through Guadeloupe at twelve on his way to a year in Paris, then built his life in the United States — New York, then Lynn, Massachusetts, and today Washington, DC.

In 1986, fresh out of Lynn English High School and living at 9 Arlington Street in Lynn, Massachusetts, an eighteen-year-old TimTim.Live walked into a music store and fell in love with a white guitar on the wall. He bought it — then life forced him to sell it, and he never forgot it.
For decades, music took a back seat while he built businesses and helped others. But a true passion never dies; it waits. Nearly forty years later, the white guitar found its way back into his hands.
That homecoming became the heart of his “Konpa to the World” journey — proof that it’s never too late to answer the call that’s been living inside you all along.

A toast, a friendship, and 888
In 2015, TimTim.Live spent a month in Chongqing, China, exploring business opportunities. He fell for China's toast culture — the ritual of raising a glass to friendship and good fortune.
On February 8, 2015, he met Master Jane, and a new venture was born: 888 Lucky Beer. In China, the number 8 stands for luck, wealth, and prosperity — so three eights became the name.
